Berkshire-based ABC Minicoaches has taken delivery of a new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with UNVI bodywork as part of continued investment in its fleet.

The vehicle arrived on 5 March and will be used primarily for private hire and executive bookings, says Minicoaches Manager Ifti Ali. The 22-seat minicoach is based on the 2.0-litre Sprinter chassis.

Passenger amenities include a coach-style rear layout for executive travel and group hires, LED lighting and air conditioning.

ABC Minicoaches says the new Sprinter continues a longstanding relationship with Mercedes-Benz vehicles across its fleet. Mr Ali says that the platform has proved to be a reliable choice for the business — the operator currently runs around 150 vehicles, 20 of which are PSV units. The remainder comprise cars, MPVs, minibuses and wheelchair-accessible minibuses.

“We have over 30 Mercedes-Benz Sprinters and are completely satisfied that the Mercedes-Benz brand helps our business to be reliable and trustworthy,” he adds.

The vehicle was supplied by UNVI importer Coachtraders. ABC Minicoaches already operates four UNVI conversions and selected the latest addition after comparing it with alternatives on the market.

“ABC Minicoaches is impressed with its new Mercedes-Sprinter UNVI and decided to go with the builder again after comparing vehicles with other operators. UNVI’s quality has the edge over others,” Mr Ali adds. “We are looking to add some more vehicles to our fleet this year and into 2027.”
