The Volvo B11R Plaxton Elite for Lochs seats 51 and is PSVAR-compliant

Isle of Lewis operator Lochs Motor Transport has purchased a Volvo B11R with PSVAR-compliant Elite bodywork, supplied by Plaxton (01909 551166).

The 12.6m 51-seater has wood-effect flooring, an eight-camera CCTV system and a PLS wheelchair lift.

It will support cruise ship passengers arriving in Stornoway, and it will also be used on private hires and school trips.

Says Director Roddy MacDonald: “We have worked closely with the Plaxton and Alexander Dennis teams for many years, and both our coach and bus fleets are dominated by their vehicles.

“The Elite has an outstanding track record in terms of overall performance, passenger comfort and kerb appeal. It is also popular with drivers and passengers, which is a big bonus.”
