White’s Coaches of St Albans has added a further Mercedes-Benz Tourismo to its fleet, supplied by EvoBus (UK).
The new coach is a 13m tri-axle Tourismo M/3. It seats 53 and is in White’s customary discreet metallic grey livery with a cherished registration mark. Among the specification are chrome-effect grille and headlights, ‘puddle’ lighting, wood-effect flooring and USB charging provision for each passenger.
For the driver, a 360-degree camera system has been fitted that gives a top-down view of the coach’s surroundings via a dash-mounted unit. A heated seat that has a swivel function is also provided.
White’s Coaches’ involvement with full-size Mercedes-Benz models began in the midst of the pandemic, explains Director Greg White. “Browsing a yard of nearly new examples with another retailer, I settled on a 2018 Tourismo seating 55,” he says.
“A relationship between us and EvoBus was soon forged to put right some imperfections on the used vehicle.” Mr White has credited EvoBus and its customer support as leading him to buy a second Tourismo in the form of an ex-demonstrator.
“The experience of the product and backup soon led to Tourismo number three – this time, a brand-new, high-specification coach seating 53. I am delighted to have added another Mercedes-Benz Tourismo to my front-line fleet.”
