Atkinsons Coaches of Ripon has taken delivery of a PSVAR compliant Yutong TC9 midi, supplied by Pelican Bus and Coach.
It is a second TC9 for the North Yorkshire business. Arrival of a further example follows discussion around PSVAR, which led the operator to elect to purchase a new, compliant coach rather than have its existing TC9 upgraded.
The earlier Yutong has thus been part-exchanged to Pelican against the new example, which has avoided any loss of fleet capacity during potential retrofit work.
Barring items required for PSVAR compliance, the two coaches have a matching specification. It includes 37 seats, 240v and USB charging points and a Cummins ISB6.7 engine developing 320bhp coupled to a ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox.
