Britannia Coaches of Dover has taken delivery of a latest-generation Yutong TC9 midi, supplied by Pelican Bus and Coach.
It is the Kent operator’s first coach at its size and seats 37. Recommendation of the TC9 by others was an influence on the purchasing decision, which was handled for Pelican by Area Sales Manager Steve O’Neill.
Inside, the overhauled TC9 uses the same seats from its larger GT12 sister and comes with the customary USB charging points and 240-volt sockets. Mood lighting and a Bosch entertainment system are also part of the package, as is a continental door.
In the cab, the driver gets a digital dash binnacle and a high-specification seat with a massage function.
Power is from the established Cummins B6.7 engine developing 320bhp coupled to a ZF EcoLife six-speed automatic gearbox.
