Celtic Travel of Llanidloes has added a Volvo B8R with PSVAR compliant Plaxton Panther bodywork to its fleet as the latest part of an ongoing relationship with Asset Alliance Group.
The coach has been funded by Asset Alliance Group on a hire purchase deal. It follows a pair of Volvo B8RLEs with MCV Evora bodywork that were supplied earlier this year under an identical arrangement. Those buses will each cover more then 120,000km per year.
Director Phyl Davies says that the further new vehicles for Celtic Travel are helping it to standardise its fleet on the Volvo B8 chassis range. “They also provide more reliability for us in delivering our bus services across mid-Wales and improving our UK-wide private hire offering. We know we can rely on the new buses to start every morning and get back every night, which is important for our peace of mind.”
The two new B8RLE Evoras join five existing examples, with Mr Davies adding that driver familiarity is important. Funding of the three additions represents a furthering of the relationship between Celtic Travel and Asset Alliance Group.
“The customer service is always excellent, and Asset Alliance Group has done us proud once again,” continues Mr Davies. If I ask for something, it will pull out all the stops to deliver, and I know that I am always getting good rates. Overall, it is a great package and that is why we keep going back.”
Adds Asset Alliance Group Director, Bus and Coach, Darren Fitzpatrick: “We are always delighted to see long-term customer relationships continue and to be able to support the Celtic Travel team in their fleet expansions once again.
“It is a measure of the success of Celtic Travel that it continues to invest in its fleet, and we are proud to be an ongoing supplier in its upgrade plans.”
The finance business says it can supply coaches and buses on any combination of contract hire, operating lease, finance lease or hire purchase.
