Eirebus Group subsidiary Edinburgh Coach Lines has taken delivery of two Irizar i6S Efficient integrals, supplied by Irizar UK. They are for use on behalf of Leger Shearings Group and carry Silver Service livery along with vinyls noting the 40th anniversary of Leger Holidays.
Each coach is a 14m tri-axle that has 42 i6 Plus seats. Provided are magazine nets, drop-down tables, footrests, and USB charging points. At the rear is what Irizar describes as a “sumptuous” lounge with four captain’s chairs.
Entertainment is via a Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system that is complemented by an Azimut On Demand package. The latter gives access to as variety of content including books, movies, games and music that travellers watch via an app on their own device.
The app can additionally be used by the operator to share information, marketing messages, customer satisfaction surveys, and more.
Also part of the specification on both coaches is a centre sunken toilet, an onboard vacuum cleaner, and black-tint windows.
PSVAR readiness has been specified by Edinburgh Coach Lines to protect residual values. Power in each coach comes from the DAF MX-11 engine developing 449bhp coupled to a ZF Traxon 12-speed automated manual gearbox.
