LandFlight Travel Services has added a further Yutong GT12 coach to its fleet, which has been taken on a seven-year hire purchase deal with Asset Alliance Group and initially supplied by Pelican Bus and Coach.

The latest GT12 follows 10 Alexander Dennis Enviro200 single-deck buses that Asset Alliance has placed with the Solihull operator over recent years. It is a PSVAR compliant 53-seater. Usage will be on a corporate commuting contract for a local client.

Hire purchase of the vehicle has allowed LandFlight Travel Services to spread the cost of its purchase in a tax-efficient manner. Maintenance will be handled in-house.

The approach with the GT12 differs from how Enviro200 buses are procured from Asset Alliance. In that case, LandFlight prefers rental, which gives it greater flexibility to suit the typically shorter contracts awarded by local authorities. A further four buses for both fleet renewal and expansion will follow on the same terms later in 2026.

Speaking about the relationship with Asset Alliance Group, LandFlight Travel Services General Manager Trevor Baker (pictured, above) notes how it began shortly after the final pandemic lockdown and that the operator has “never looked back.”

He adds: “It is vital that we get new vehicles in on time so that we can prepare them ahead of the start of their respective contracts, and [the supplier] has never let us down.”

Asset Alliance Group Business Development Manager for Coach and Bus Paul Fairbanks has supported LandFlight Travel Services, which runs 45 vehicles and has 80 staff. The new GT12 coach’s livery was applied by local business Baker Ward.
