The Panther-bodied B8R for Lochs Motor Transport is PSVAR compliant

A PSVAR-compliant addition to Isle of Lewis-based Lochs Motor Transport is a Panther-bodied Volvo B8R, supplied by Plaxton (01909 551166).

The 12.6m, 53-seater entered service on route NL1 at the north of the island. It has wood-effect flooring, three-point belts and eight-camera CCTV, and a PLS lift at the entrance.

Says Director Roddy MacDonald: “The Panther will operate service routes, contracts, tours and private hire.

“It will also augment the excursions that we provide for cruise passengers arriving in Stornoway, who are keen to tour the Western Island and the north of Scotland.”
