Longmynd Travel’s new Irizar i6 integral is a 12.9m 57-seater with a toilet

Longmynd Travel of Shrewsbury has added its first DAF-powered i6 integral coach, supplied by Irizar UK (01909 500514).

The 12.9m model has 57 i6 seats with drop-down tables, plus a centre sunken toilet and a comprehensive Actia and Bosch entertainment system.

Its 10.8-litre MX-11 engine is rated at 370bhp and it is coupled to a ZF AS-Tronic automated manual transmission (AMT).

Says Managing Director Mark Sheppard: “Both the AMT and fully-automatic gearboxes have their strong points, but the AS-Tronic makes it more of a driver’s coach because they can retain control over the gear selected.

“We have the same driver in the i6 integral most of the time, and the coach does a mixture of tours and private hire work.”
