Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has received an Alexander Dennis Enviro200 pair supplied under a rental package by Dawsongroup Bus and Coach.
The two Scarborough-built, 8.9m buses are used by the Trust on its Hospital Hopper service, which runs between two sites in Surrey carrying patients, staff and visitors. They each seat 30 and have replaced minibuses to provide a capacity uplift on that route.
Speaking about the procurement, the Trust’s Transport and Fleet Manager Jan Kruger says: “Our Hospital Hopper is a vital link between our two sites for our team as well as our patients and visitors.
“We are delighted to be able to provide additional capacity for them with our new buses, which combine a great seating capacity with outstanding manoeuvrability.”
Adds Alexander Dennis Regional Sales Manager Mark Taylor: “Once again, the Enviro200 provides the perfect solution for an operator’s requirements, reinforcing why it remains the country’s favourite single-deck bus. We are delighted that our British buses get to play their part in delivering the NHS’s valued services for our nation.”
Dawsongroup Bus and Coach Sales Director Fraser Innes continues: “A key benefit of our rental packages is working closely with our clients to fully understand their requirements and deliver a solution tailored to their business.
“We have been delighted to work with Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to deliver on all fronts and to help expand its Hospital Hopper service to meet increased demand for staff, patient and visitor transportation.”
