PC Coaches of Lincoln has taken delivery of a Scania Irizar Treinta limited edition as it celebrates its 45th anniversary as an operator.
The coach uses a KNI 360 underframe mated to an i6S Efficient body. It is number four out of the 30-strong Treinta run. Fittingly, the Treinta was created by Scania to mark its own 30th anniversary of collaborating with Irizar to supply coaches to the UK market.
The example for PC Coaches has 53 half-leather seats with drop-down tables and USB charging, along with CCTV, wi-fi, Alcoa Dura-Bright alloy wheels and a DVD player feeding to two monitors. It also has a rear-view camera system as part of fuel efficiency optimisation.
As with other vehicles in the PC Coaches fleet, the newcomer is finished in an ornate livery and the scheme includes graphics to highlight the business’s anniversary. It also has a cherished registration mark.
After delivery, the Treinta was posed outside the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln and its Avro Lancaster statue – an aircraft commemorated on at least one other of the operator’s coaches.
