Jones Login has added a Plaxton Leopard-bodied Volvo B8R to its fleet for use on a home-to-school contract. It was supplied by Alexander Dennis.
The Leopard is built to the shorter 12.2m length and seats 70 in a 3+2 layout. PSVAR readiness has been specified, with destination displays already installed along with an additional door behind the front axle, giving straightforward provision for a lift to be added later. Power is from the Volvo D8K engine driving through a ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox.
Jones Login Managing Director Endaf Jones notes: “The Plaxton Leopard is a fantastic vehicle thanks to its combination of high passenger capacity with robust chassis and body from well-established manufacturers.
“The ability to have as many as 70 seats in a manoeuvrable vehicle just over 12 metres long is a real benefit for our operations.”
Alexander Dennis Sales Manager New and Used Coach Sales Simon Wood has thanked the Carmarthenshire operator for its continued business with the Plaxton brand.
Adds Mr Wood: “It is a special honour to deliver a new Plaxton coach to an operator that has been buying coaches from us for close to 60 years, and whose fleet is dominated by our vehicles.
“Fully backed up by our aftermarket support, this new Leopard will continue to deliver value to the Jones family for many years to come.” A cherished registration mark completes the coach.
