Richmonds Coaches has taken delivery of a Van Hool TDX27 Astromega double-decker, supplied by VDL Bus and Coach UK.
It is a 14.2m example that complies with PSVAR and follows many previous Van Hool coaches into the Hertfordshire operator’s fleet. Power comes from a DAF MX-13 engine coupled to an Allison automatic gearbox.
Fitted are 85 Kiel 1020 seats with three-point belts and USB charging points, while the new arrival also has a toilet, a boiler, a fridge, and an entertainment system comprised of a radio and DVD and CD players coupled to multiple monitors.
External finish is in Richmonds’ distinctive livery. The TDX27 Astromega comes with a camera monitoring system in place of conventional mirrors, highly polished alloy wheels, and a cherished registration mark.
