Robertsons of Duns in the Scottish Borders has purchased an AOS Grand Toro midicoach, supplied by EVM.

It is a 35-seat example to which is added a courier’s position. Completion of the deal represents further success for EVM with the Grand Toro in Scotland. Area Sales Manager Matt Thompson (pictured, right) notes that the model’s compact 8.5m length makes it highly manoeuvrable and thus well-suited to rural operation.

Further aspects of the specification are USB charging points for every passenger, and a 28.4kW Safkar air-conditioning unit along with convection heating. The Grand Toro’s mid-engined layout allows a large rear boot, which is complemented by side lockers.

Air suspension is fitted to the drive axle, while power comes from a Cummins B4.5 engine coupled to an Allison six-speed automatic gearbox with push-button control.

A cherished registration mark has been affixed by Robertsons of Duns to the midicoach, which was quickly also treated to fleetnames and representations of both the flag of Scotland and the Royal Banner of Scotland.
