Yorkshire-based Ryedale Community Transport has added a Mellor Tucana minibus to its operation. It will transport disadvantaged local people with special travel requirements and has been funded via local authority grants, fundraising activities and donations.
The vehicle has nearside and rear ramps, and it can carry 14 seated passengers or three seated travellers and four wheelchair users. It has an Eberspächer heater and a Sentinel camera system.
Says Ryedale Community Transport Chief Officer Ken Gill: “This acquisition is the result of much consultation and planning, and no small amount of fundraising and generous donations, so it was important that we made the right choice.
“I am pleased to say that in the Tucana, we have a high-quality minibus that is perfectly tailored to the needs of our customers.”
