Sanders Coaches of Norfolk has increased its fleet of Volvo B8RLE MCV Evora buses to 10 with the delivery of four further examples of the combination. They are 12.1m long and have joined for use on route X55 between Mundesley, North Walsham and Norwich.
The full-length models join six existing 10.8m buses. Of those earlier deliveries, four arrived in 2021 with the remainder in 2022. Sanders Coaches Managing Director Charles Sanders says that the continued repeat business has come about thanks to good earlier experience and the reliability offered by the Volvo marque.
Mr Sanders adds that the latest new buses will make a “significant contribution” to delivery of Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) work in Norfolk. The Holt business has a fleet of 85 vehicles that is split between coaches and buses.
Speaking about the latest delivery to Sanders Coaches, Volvo Bus UK and Ireland Regional Sales Director Richard Mann adds: “The Volvo B8RLE MCV Evora, whether in 10.8m or 12.1m variant, is proving to be a reliable workhorse in the Sanders fleet.
“These latest additions are particularly welcome as they are part of Norfolk’s BSIP, and they are set to become a familiar sight in the distinctive livery on the roads in and around North Walsham and Norwich.” Norfolk County Council was indicatively allocated £49.6m of BSIP funding in 2022.
