A drive for quality has seen Tiger European, of Nottingham, take its first DAF-engined coach in the form of an i6 integral, supplied by Irizar UK (01909 500514).

The 14m integral has 61 i6 Plus seats with drop-down tables and three-point belts, and it also comes equipped with wood-effect flooring, aircraft-style overhead lockers, USB charging points and a driver’s bunk.

The operator says that the capacity suits much of its private hire business, and it has settled in well, adds Manager Dusty Golar. “It was a stock vehicle at Worksop and clearly met out needs. It looks the part, and our drivers love it.”

Power comes from a DAF MX-13 engine developing 462bhp driving through ZF’s AS-Tronic automated manual gearbox.
