County Durham operator Stanley Travel has placed two new coaches in service: A Mercedes-Benz Atego-based Cheetah XL and a Panther mounted on Volvo B8R chassis, both supplied by Plaxton (01909 551166).
The Cheetah XL is a 37-seater that has been purchased for a contract transferring Emirates flight crews between Newcastle airport and their accommodation in Gateshead. The 57-seat Panther has been busy on school trips to Europe.
Says Director Ian Scott: “Our new vehicles have gone straight into service. They are in good company, as 80% of our coach fleet is made up of Plaxtons, including Elite models and a significant number of Panthers.
“Our relationship goes back many years. We find Plaxton’s vehicles modern, stylish and consistent.”
