School contracts and local private hire work are in store for the two SB3s

Whitelaws Coaches of Stonehouse, South Lanarkshire, has taken delivery of two B8Rs with Sunsundegui SB3 bodywork, supplied by Volvo Bus (02476 210250).

The 72-seaters have been deployed on school contracts and local private hires and they follow two B11R 9700 integrals that were also delivered in 2017.

“We were the first UK operator to purchase the Volvo/Sunsundegui combination back in the early 2000s, and these are the first SB3s that we have added,” says MD Sandra Whitelaw.

“Our school and coach fleet is virtually all Volvo. We’ve been operating its vehicles for many years, and we needed two larger-capacity coaches to handle school contracts. The B8R SB3 combination gives us the operational performance that we need, along with 72 seats.”
