HCT Group has taken delivery of nine Volkswagen T6s with Tucana II bodywork for use on Transport for London dial-a-ride work, supplied by Mellor Coachcraft (01706 860610).
They have been purchased by Dawsonrentals and leased to HCT, and the Tucana II’s fully flat floor layout is one of the reasons for selecting the type. Each seats up to 14 passengers, or can carry four wheelchair users.
“The Tucana II is excellent in terms of the design and layout as well as offering excellent performance and reliability,” says Group Engineering Director Steve Perks.
