White’s Coaches of St Albans has taken delivery of a custom-built Yutong TC9 midi, supplied by Pelican Bus and Coach.
The vehicle was ordered by Managing Director Greg White at Euro Bus Expo 2022. It has 37 seats, with the interior completed by Eastgate Coach Trimmers of Pickering. The specification includes PSVAR readiness, which incorporates an additional door to simplify future conversion work to achieve full compliance.
Power is from the customary Cummins ISB6.7 engine developing 320bhp driving through a ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox.
Speaking about the purchase, Mr White says: “For some years there has been a gap in the market for 30/37-seat vehicles that can offer the kind of experience we need for our clients. The TC9 has filled that nicely for us.
“It is a small coach with a big feel and it is perfect for our VIP groups with 25-37 passengers. Furthermore, the support from Pelican and the availability of parts is instant.
“That is a big factor in what we place orders for – especially with Brexit and whatever else is causing havoc for many operators needing parts.”
