JustGo DRT in North Lincolnshire sees capacity increase

East Yorkshire has added a further minibus to its JustGo demand responsive transport (DRT) service in North Lincolnshire. The increase takes to seven the number of vehicles employed on JustGo. It has been carried out to accommodate a rise in demand generated by the return of schools and colleges and expected further growth generated by the reopening of more parts of the economy.

JustGo was launched by East Yorkshire in partnership with Lincolnshire County Council and technology provider Liftango in September 2020. The seventh minibus forms part of wider improvements that have been rolled out over six months that aim to enhance the customer experience.

East Yorkshire Area Director Ben Gilligan says the operator is “delighted” with the success of the JustGo DRT product and how Liftango has modified the service as movement restrictions in England changed. “We have been able to provide much-needed transport for essential workers as well as members of the public travelling to vaccination centres,” adds Mr Gilligan.

Comments Liftango CEO and Co-Founder Kevin Orr: “To see the growth in demand triggering the addition of another vehicle to the fleet is an extremely positive sign. As lockdowns ease, we are looking forward to serving members of the public that have been caught at home and want a convenient way to get out.”

JustGo utilises app-based and telephone bookings. Minibuses can be tracked in real time and they are equipped with wi-fi and USB charging points, along with high-quality seating.
