Dundee City Council (DCC) has used its accessible minibuses to replace a ‘taxicard’ system in the city for users who cannot travel by conventional bus.
A previous £2 discount on taxi fares cost DCC £150,000 per year. Some of the saving has been reinvested in the minibus scheme.
DCC claims that the change will provide a better all-round service for users.
