Q’Straint’s iQ Research Centre of Excellence is at Whitstable, Kent

For over 30 years, Q’Straint has been providing wheelchair passenger safety solutions to transport industries across the world.

Established in Ontario, Canada, Q’Straint was set up to bring a four-point wheelchair passenger securement system to market.

Since then it has been among the industry leaders, with the continual release of innovative solutions ensuring the safety of wheelchair passengers across both the WAV, minibus and M3 public bus travel sectors.

In 2014, Q’Straint opened its iQ Research Centre of Excellence within its European HQ in Whitstable.

Housing the latest technology for both simulating dynamic crash tests and a full seatbelt anchorage testing system, the facility allows Q’Straint to increase its R&D capabilities and increase the speed at which it brings innovative, fully-tested solutions to market.

In an industry where passenger safety is key, rigorous testing of all market solutions is vital to ensure that standards are adhered to and, as a result, that customers are provided with full testing certificates.

“Q’Straint is extremely proud of its iQ Research Centre of Excellence. With our investment in the facility, we can research, test, certify and deliver the next generation of securement systems to market, thereby improving safety for everyone,” says Managing Director Andy Cumming

For more information about the safety systems offered by Q’Straint please visit its website, call 01227 773035 or email info@qstraint.co.uk.
