LDV will rebrand its range in right-hand drive European countries as Maxus from April.

The rebrand from LDV is to coincide with the launch of two new models that the distributor, Dublin-based Harris Group, says “will underpin the brand’s transformation.”

Says Harris Group CEO Denise Harris: “The LDV brand is much loved, but the advent of new models on new platforms that will undoubtedly change brand perception.

“I am confident that the market will welcome the transition.”

Full details of the new models have not been revealed, but they will be launched at the CV Show. One is larger than the current V80, which is used as a base for minibus conversion. The newcomer will be available in both front- and rear-wheel drive.
