Arriva London has recognised the contribution of 2,700 years of combined staff tenure at the London Long Service Awards, held as two separate events.
Employees who were marking 35, 40, 45 and 50 years of service were celebrated at the Royal Horseguards Hotel.
This was followed at a second ceremony, where colleagues who had registered 20, 25 and 30 years’ service were honoured.
Among attendees at the events, which recognised the efforts of staff from across Arriva’s London operations, were five employees who had dedicated more than half a century to the business.
Martijn Gilbert, Managing Director of Arriva UK Bus, says: “Reaching milestones of 20, 30, 40 or even 50 years of service is an extraordinary achievement and a testament to the dedication, professionalism and pride our colleagues bring to their roles every day.
“Collectively, this group represents decades of knowledge and commitment that underpin the service we provide to our customers.
“It is a privilege to recognise their contribution and celebrate the difference they continue to make every day, empowering people to travel sustainably on public transport.”
As well as Mr Gilbert, the events were attended by Arriva London’s Managing Director, Wasim Mohammed, with the second ceremony hosted by BBC broadcaster Edward Adoo.
