Go-Ahead London has taken delivery of a further 13 Alexander Dennis Enviro100EV battery-electric small buses. They are for use on Transport for London route 322 between Crystal Palace and Clapham Common, which runs out of the operator’s Sydenham garage.
It took up that contract on 25 April. When coupled to existing Enviro100EV buses with Go-Ahead London and more due, they will ultimately be among 60 supplied to the operator. It has over 1,000 zero-emission buses in service across all vehicle sizes.
To Transport for London (TfL) specification, the Enviro100EV has 21 seats and room for 24 standing passengers within its 8.5m long, 2.35m wide footprint. Energy storage of 354kWh is coupled to a Vehicle Electrical Drive System from Driventic to deliver what Alexander Dennis says is market-leading range.
The manufacturer highlights how the batteries will complete two consecutive TfL contract terms without replacement as part of a 15-year energy storage warranty.
Sydenham depot opened in September 2025, and the Enviro100EVs are its first zero-emission buses to operate from there. Go-Ahead London now has 14 garages that run electric buses.
Speaking about the purchase, Managing Director Andy Edwards says: “Route 322 serves some of the busiest and most densely connected parts of south London, and these 13 Enviro100EV buses will deliver a genuinely better experience for the thousands of customers who rely on it every day.
“Having recently hit the milestone of 1,000 zero-emission buses in London, we are looking forward to working in close partnership with Alexander Dennis to accelerate that transition further.
“Alongside the Mayor and Transport for London, we are committed to converting the capital’s bus fleet to zero-emission as part of our wider group goal of a fully zero-emission fleet across Go-Ahead by 2035.”
Alexander Dennis National Account Manager Mark Ballam has thanked Go-Ahead London for its business. He notes how the Enviro100EV “is one of the greenest, most efficient buses on the market.”
