Reays Coaches has won the Cumbrian Family Business Award in the ‘Haulage, Transport and Logistics’ category.
The ceremony, which was held at Low Wood Bay Hotel on the shores of Windermere, recognises and celebrates the best family businesses in Cumbria. Hosted by The Hair Bikers, Dave Myers and Si King, the event saw nearly 300 guests enjoy the evening of celebrations.
Head judge of the awards, Graham Lamont, quoted the Wigton-based operator as a ‘flagship’ for other Cumbrian businesses.
Finance Director Nicola Reay says: “To be recognised and celebrated is a fantastic achievement and I'm incredibly proud and thankful to all our team who have contributed to this success. It really is an honour."
Winners of each category now go forward to the National Family Business of the Year Awards in June, which will take place in London.
