Alexander Dennis (ADL) Chief Executive Colin Robertson has been awarded a CBE (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2019 for his services to exports and to the coach and bus manufacturing sector.
The honour recognises Mr Robertson’s leadership as Chief Executive of ADL, where he supports innovation to ensure coaches and buses contribute to sustainable transport with the market’s widest range of low- and zero-emission technologies.
Says Mr Robertson: “I am deeply humbled by this honour. I could not have achieved any of this without the fantastic team I have the privilege of leading at ADL.
“This reinforces my commitment to inspire others to be even more entrepreneurial and to support and nurture the fantastic talent we have here in Scotland and in the UK.”
Mr Robertson continues to champion opportunities through the company’s apprenticeship scheme as well as a growing graduate development programme and its Leadership Academy.
