The Association of Group Travel Organisers (AGTO) has appointed Pam Wharton of Ellen Smith Tours as a director on its Board.

Pam has worked in the travel industry for over 30 years. Her current role is Groups & Day Excursions Manager for Ellen Smith Tours, based in Rochdale.

Ms Wharton says: “I am delighted to be taking on this role. Some of my clients have included U3A, Probus, sports and social clubs, retirement associations, as well as groups of friends and colleagues. I feel my extensive experience will prove to be an asset in moving AGTO forward.”

AGTO Chief Executive, Mike Bugsgang, says: “Pam has always been a great supporter of AGTO in the North of England. Her considerable knowledge of group operations will further strengthen the Association’s expansion plans in 2018 and beyond.”
