Amanda Harrington, Sales and Marketing Director at Bakers Dolphin, was named Sales Leader of the Year in the South West Leadership Awards last week.
Ms Harrington, who will mark 40 years at the Weston-super-Mare coach operator in 2026, was chosen from among the region’s top sales leaders by a panel of independent business specialists.
The ceremony was organised by TheBusinessDesk.com and held at Bristol Harbour Hotel.
Bakers Dolphin notes Ms Harrington leads a team which sold 403 coach tour holidays in 2025 throughout UK and Europe, plus 304 domestic day trips.
She says of her achievement: “I’m honestly delighted to have received this award. I would like to say a personal thank you to all my colleagues who are just an amazing bunch of hard-working people who help me achieve awards such as this.
“Also a big thank you to all our suppliers who work with me to make Bakers Dolphin the success it is today.
“It is also good recognition for the coach industry as the finalists were from many different sectors of business.”
Bakers Dolphin Managing Director Max Fletcher was shortlisted for Company Leader (100+ employees).
The business, which was established in 1889 and employs 160 people, was a finalist in two categories at the 2024 routeone Awards.
