Essex-based Amber Coaches is to go into liquidation on 19 April; it ceased trading on 4 April and all staff were made redundant.
Its contracted bus services have been taken over by other operators, including Ensign Bus.
Formed in 1997 by the merger of Amber Bus & Coach and Wilkinson Coaches, the Rayleigh-based firm ran private hire, schools and bus contracts, with a 25-vehicle O-Licence.
Bought in February by Steve Nelson from Susan and George Webster and Gary Wilkinson, it was only subsequently that losses came to light and the company could no longer continue to trade, leaving no choice other than to place it into liquidation.
