As part of its ongoing initiative to promote the benefits of public transport to youngsters, Arriva Midlands joined forces with the Earl Shilton Scout Group for a day of fun and facts on the buses.
The operator showcased just how much freedom bus travel could offer them, so long as they’re sure to travel safe and savvy.
Simon Finnie, Area Managing Director for Arriva Midlands South, says: “We think it’s important to work with groups like Earl Shilton Scouts to make sure that the younger generations are equipped with all the information they need to make sure they can get around without worry.”
During the session, Earl Shilton’s Cubs, Scouts and Explorers learnt more about bus etiquette, drivers’ blind spots, getting on and off safely and paying securely, before all hopping on board for a day out in the city centre.
