Asset Alliance Group has established a coach and bus rental operation, representing a diversification of its existing vehicle finance offering.
The supplier says rental stock will be available on fixed monthly payments that will allow customers to take vehicles “for a defined period, with various contract options to choose from.” Growth into rental is part of work by Asset Alliance “to become the number one coach and bus funder and supplier in the UK,” says Chief Executive Wille Paterson.
Rental contracts start from one year, although shorter-term hires will be possible subject to availability. Asset Alliance says that customers can access “a diverse selection of ready-for-use vehicles without the financial and operational responsibilities of ownership.”
It adds that speed of response is key to the new offer, as is supporting customers for whom operating a vehicle fleet is not part of their core work.
Mr Paterson notes that establishment of a rental operation “is a huge investment for the business and a major innovation for our rapidly growing coach and bus division.”
Commercial Director of Bus and Coach Martyn Bellis (pictured, right) says that new buses are in stock and on order from various manufacturers, and that the supplier offers a range from small minibuses to double-deckers.
“And we can source all vehicle types from new to used, from standard builds to custom design, and from diesel power to hybrid and electric drives,” he adds.
“Finance options cover everything from single assets through to larger multiple vehicle contracts. Our rental service will free customers from extended commitments, providing them with complete flexibility to meet their business requirements,” Mr Bellis continues.
Asset Alliance has seen significant growth in its coach and bus division in recent years and believes that the rental offering will further build its presence. It earlier appointed Paul Fairbanks and Michael Gillen as Business Development Managers to support that expansion.
