BASE Directors in Belarus for charity

On 18 August BASE Coach Sales Directors Duncan and Dominic and I travelled to the city of Borisov in Belarus as part of a group of nine people from St Johns Church in Burscough.

This year we are working at the “Special School for Disabled Children” where we are demolishing an old play shelter, building benches around a miniature football pitch and hopefully refurbishing a gym that is used regularly by the disabled children who are cared for in this specially designated school.

The photo above is of the team in 2017 working at the baby hospital in Borisov where we built a wheelchair ramp and enlarged the playground built by the team in 2016.

We also plan to run a week-long holiday camp in one of the local orphanages for children aged 4-15 years, working alongside the local church.

We are hoping to raise £4,000 as a group to help towards the cost of the build project and the children’s holiday camp.

If you would like to help us raise money for this great cause, please go to www.justgiving.com/Peter-Dorling2

Any donations small or large would be very gratefully received.

Mark Aspinall, Director,
BASE Coach Sales, Leyland
