Stockport’s Belle Vue Manchester has been inducted into the Guild of British Coach Operators, having passed an independent audit by Lloyd Morgan Group.
Belle Vue achieved membership in its first attempt. The Guild restricts membership to those firms which score a flawless 100% in their inspections. The audit scrutinises various areas of operation including customer service, punctuality, 24-hour emergency support, employee training, fleet maintenance, road safety, regulatory adherence, and financial stability.
Phil Hitchen, Belle Vue’s Managing Director (pictured, right), says of the achievement: “Gaining membership of the Guild at the first time of asking was a feather in the cap for the company. It’s a prestigious organisation to join, but we don’t see it as a glorified badge. We have good systems and processes across the business, and we are committed to providing the highest quality of service to our passengers and the best possible environment in which our team can develop their skills and careers.
“Joining the Guild will enable us to share best practice with our industry peers and continue to elevate our standards and those of other leading operators.”
Guild Chairman Anthony Winson adds: “As a hugely-respected operator, we are confident Mr Hitchen and the Belle Vue team will have much to gain from joining, as will we from their undoubted reputation and expertise within the coach industry.”
The Guild currently consists of 20 firms nationwide. Members of the Guild share a commitment to top-tier quality and engage in mutual advisory sessions, with specialist groups dedicated to training, engineering, and operations.
