The British Tourism & Travel Show (BTTS) is inviting proposals from coach tour operators and group travel professionals to speak during the seminar programme at next year’s event, which will be held on 11 March 2027 at the NEC Birmingham.

BTTS is the group travel industry’s key annual meeting place for coach and tour operators, group travel organisers, and travel agents. Those parties visit to discover destinations, attractions and accommodation providers from across the UK and Ireland and to exchange ideas with peers.

The show’s seminar programme offers a platform for sharing knowledge, insights and practical guidance on issues affecting the coach tourism and group travel industry. A call for speaker submissions for next year’s event follows an acclaimed 2026 show.

Organiser Diversified UK and Europe notes how subjects to be addressed in 2027 could include introducing new ways of working, responding to changing customer expectations, embracing new technologies, or overcoming operational challenges.

Suppliers, industry bodies and professionals with specialist knowledge or experience are also invited to apply. Submissions can capture a variety of formats, including keynote presentations, panel discussions, lightning talks, case studies, and interviews. Previous experience in public speaking is not required.

Suggested topics include:

    • Accessibility and inclusion
    • Business growth
    • Collaboration and partnerships
    • Market trends and forecasts
    • Marketing and customer engagement
    • New tour ideas and experiences
    • Operations and planning
    • Policy changes and regulation
    • Sustainability in tourism
    • Technology in travel.

British Tourism & Travel Show Event Manager Lloyd Jones notes how some of the most valuable seminar sessions come from individuals sharing what they have experienced first-hand.

“If you have solved a problem, adapted to change or four a better way of doing something, there is every chance that other operators could benefit from hearing about it,” he continues. “If that sounds like you, we would encourage you to put yourself forward.”

The deadline for proposals is 15 October. They can be made via an online speaker application portal on the BTTS website. Successful applicants will be notified by 16 November.
