State-owned Bus Éireann is relying on its troubled parent, CIÉ, to stay in business, new accounts show.
Figures for the operator, which is restructuring in a bid to save the business, show that it lost €9.5m last year.
CIÉ has written to the company confirming that, if needed, it will provide it with the cash to continue trading and to meet its liabilities for at least 12 months from the signing of the accounts.
