The Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS) has called on the Department for Transport to set up a UK Road Collison Investigation Branch to help reduce the number of deaths and injuries on the roads.
PACTS will be seeking an amendment to the Vehicle Technology and Aviation Bill to pave the way for the new body.
