Go-Ahead Group-owned Carousel Buses has launched a travel smartcard called ‘The Key’ to help passengers save time and money.
The Key enables passengers to pay for travel in advance by putting credit onto the pass on online and in travel shops. Passengers simply tap The Key onto a card reader when they board and enjoy benefits including cheaper travel.
Passengers can use The Key for single and return journeys, or purchase 12 trip bundles, or weekly or monthly passes for various travel zones.
Phil Southall, Carousel Buses MD, says: “This is the next step in our on-going strategy to make bus travel as accessible and convenient as possible for passengers. Smartcards are a very popular product, easy to use and save time and money, so we’re delighted to be further improving our service to our customers.”
