Wheelchair accessible convertor TBC has confirmed that it will offer products based on the new MAN TGE and Volkswagen New Crafter base vehicles that were launched at the CV Show.

Up to 19 seats will be available on the M3 New Crafter and TGE models that have GVWs of 5,500kg, while TBC will continue to offer the same range of conversions on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter base vehicle, says Senior Sales Manager Gerard Galvin.

“All of the New Crafter- and TGE-based minibuses will be certified under the European Whole Vehicle Type Approval process with the exception of any bespoke conversions,” he adds.

“On the M2 models we offer up to 16 seats, and all of our conversions come with either an inboard or outboard rear-mounted lift.”

Both the New Crafter and TGE will be available with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. There will be no gap between the end of TBC’s production of conversions on the existing Crafter and its move to the New Crafter, says Mr Galvin.
