The Iveco Daily Tourys has been voted inaugural winner of the International Minibus of the Year award.
Commending the Tourys in a number of areas, president of the jury Tom Terjesen says: “The Iveco Daily Tourys combines high-quality bodywork with premium comfort for passengers.
“Its driveline, with a strong Euro 6 engine and the best gearbox ever made in this class, makes the journey an experience to remember.”
The Tourys’ luggage capacity was also regarded as a positive; Iveco claims that it is best-in-class thanks to a 2.5m3 drop boot.
Sylvain Blaise, Head of Iveco Bus, received the award at May’s FIAA show, held in Madrid. The Tourys joins Iveco’s full-size Magelys coach in being recognised as best in class; the Magelys was named International Coach of the Year in 2016.
Says Mr Blaise: “We are very proud that two of our vehicles have been singled out for awards, recognising their quality and value-for-money in the passenger transport sector.”
Iveco says that the Tourys offers a “remarkably high level of customer personalisation.” Up to 19 Kiel Touristic seats are fitted and standard on the Tourys are USB charging points, LED interior lights and an Iveco multimedia entertainment system including an LCD monitor.
