EVM has announced its intention to pursue the mainstream bus market with the launch of the City Line, a low-entry Mercedes-Benz Sprinter conversion that can carry up to 25 passengers.
The City Line uses the same shell as the existing Community low-entry conversion, but it to go with its capacity of 16 seated passengers it can also convey nine standees.
EVM expects to announce a significant order for high-specification City Lines shortly, says Sales Director Danny McGee.
“The City Line is aimed at mainstream bus operators, while the Community remains targeted at community transport organisations and local authorities.
“The Sprinter returns excellent fuel consumption and so the City Line gives a clear benefit over larger buses.”
Also displayed by EVM were several members of its minicoach range, including an Avantgarde conversion for Runcorn-based Anthony’s Travel.
