EVM targets demand for bespoke low-floor minis

Cityline demo has leather seats, tables, 240v and wood-effect flooring

EVM has revealed that it sees bespoke, high-specification examples of its Mercedes-Benz Sprinter-based Cityline and Community low-floor models as having as much appeal as those that are fitted out to a standard layout.

The converter already has a Cityline demonstrator that incorporates a number of elements of its established minicoach range, including luxury leather seats, full-size tables, wood-effect flooring and 240v charging sockets, and it says that many other items can be added.

“Buyers can take a fully-accessible small vehicle that comes with all of the luxuries that they would find in our minicoaches,” says Sales and Marketing Manager Peter Flynn.

“Part of our thinking behind the Cityline and Community is to offer the most flexible solution. Buyers have a blank piece of paper and can do as they wish with it.”

To a high specification, the Cityline – which is targeted at bus work – is seen by EVM as complementing the premium service models such as Stagecoach Gold that have become popular in recent years.

The demonstrator has space for one wheelchair user in a low-floor area that includes two tip-up seats. At the rear are 13 further seats, six of which are around tables.
