Extended high-capacity Sprinter 75 debuts

Mercedes-Benz used IAA to show its new high-capacity Sprinter City 75, which will be launched in the UK at Euro Bus Expo next month.

With an extended 5.095m wheelbase the Sprinter City 75 offers a large low-floor platform. With its high-load rear axle its total capacity is 37 passengers (including standees).

Based on the new rear-wheel-drive Sprinter panel-van, the Sprinter City 75 is 8.4m long is targeting the UK small bus market.

Together with an uprated front axle the City 75 has a GVW of 6.8 tonnes. 

The driveline comprises a new 120 kW (163 hp) engine and the 7G-TronicPlus automatic transmission. A Telma retarder assists braking.
