First Bus and its app partner Future Platforms have been declared victorious in the Travel App of the Year category at the UK App Awards.
Judges particularly praised the implementation of customer-first items that were fast-tracked during the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Those include live vehicle tracking and a real-time capacity checker, with each shown clearly on the app interface. Judges described both as items that “improved the app on a huge scale.”
