FlixBus UK has joined the ever-growing list of businesses in the coach and bus sector to unveil a specially liveried vehicle marking the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
A Caetano Levante owned by partner operator Go Whippet of Cambridgeshire has received a Union Jack-based addition to its rear portion to mark the celebration. It was unveiled in late May at Victoria Coach Station in London, a facility that FlixBus notes celebrates its own 90th anniversary in 2022.
In tandem with the commemorative Levante’s unveiling, FlixBus UK says it has seen a major uplift in online searches for scheduled coach travel in the run up to the Platinum Jubilee long weekend.
The travel technology company adds that consumer appetite for travel “has risen rapidly” as the double Bank Holiday approaches. Search volumes have increased by 55% recently, it claims.
