FlixBus is expanding its services between Manchester and both London Heathrow and London Gatwick as its partnership with Prospect Coaches scales up.
From 5 February, the travel tech business is scheduling three new services per day between Manchester (Shudehill), Manchester Airport, Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry, London Heathrow Central Bus Station, London Heathrow Terminal 5, and Gatwick Terminals.
Frequency will be increased to six times per day by April.
Meanwhile, FlixBus has announced it will soon add Oxford to its network for the first time, connecting to Birmingham, Heathrow and Gatwick daily.
Andreas Schorling, FlixBus Vice President, West Europe, says: “Airport services are a clear customer favourite, and enhancing airport services is a core element of our growth plans this year – offering more of the great value, sustainability and reliability that passengers expect from FlixBus!”
In serving the expansion, Prospect Coaches will add 13 new FlixBus-branded Irizar I6Ss to its fleet, adding to the 14 vehicles it already uses for the partnership.
The Wolverhampton-based operator began operating FlixBus services in 2024.
“We’re beyond excited to expand with FlixBus in this fantastic segment of the market which has so much potential,” says Nathan Hadley, Managing Director of Prospect Coaches. “We see first-hand how much passengers love to travel on the network, as FlixBus continues to grow the express coach market.”
