Francesca Hand has been promoted to the role of Senior Operations Manager at FlixBus.
Ms Hand, who joined the travel tech brand in October 2022 as Operations Manager, will work with operator partners to ensure high-quality services to passengers, says FlixBus.
Hailing from London, she has a Master’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
Her work at FlixBus has included introduction of services to bus stations in Bristol and Leeds, branding at Heathrow and Bristol Airports and looking after the team of station agents at London Victoria Coach Station.
In her new role, she will continue to help the business as it bids to create the largest coach network in the UK. FlixBus, which has transported more than 5 million passengers since its launch in 2021, has recently announced partnerships with First Bus and Trentbarton.
She says: “Being part of the FlixBus team for the last two years has been a whirlwind of excitement, travel and growth, and I know the next phase of network expansion is going to be the most impressive yet.
“We have a unique mix of cutting-edge technology and data analysis at Flix, and local knowledge from our partners. I’m looking forward to working even more closely with operators to ultimately provide the best service possible for our passengers.”
UK Operations Team Lead Hayley Russell adds: “Francesca’s eye for detail, hands-on approach to problem-solving, and exceptional ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders have been invaluable to our success.
“Her promotion reflects her outstanding contribution and her exceptional development over the past two years during a rapid growth period, maintaining excellent quality throughout, even during the busiest travel peaks.”
